Meet the cast of the new play, Baby Hubris, opening tonight at Manhattan Repertory Theatre.
Jacqui Rêgo is the creator of BABY HUBRIS. She is an actor/writer in NYC by way of Miami, L.A., Toronto, Montreal, and Rio de Janeiro. Clearly a lover of duality, she has two passports and has studied at NYU Tisch School of the Art’s BFA program, the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and Augosto Boal’s Pablo Picasso UNESCO Award-winning Theater of the Oppressed in Rio de Janeiro. You may have seen Jacqui performing in The Bacchae (Gorilla Rep.), the film The Haircut (Slamdance), or Melvin Van Peeble’s theatrical production of Sweet Sweetback’s Badass Song: The hood opera (BRIC, Brooklyn/Sons d'hiver; Paris, France); and she continues her effervescent rabble-rousing writing personal essays and plays like, BABY HUBRIS (world premiere FringeNYC).
Originally from the Bay Area, Tama is a passionate actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker living in New York City; who is extremely dedicated to his craft. You can look forward to some of his upcoming work on the new seasons of Iron Fist, The Tick, and Master of None.
He’d like to take this opportunity to thank his girlfriend Jillian, for always supporting him.
